It all started during the winter of 2006- 2007 when a few friends who use to build snowboards (Caution Snowboards & Sasquatch Snowboards) got together and founded Shotgun Snowboards. Shotgun Snowboards was an underground movement. At the time you had to know someone who knew someone in the inner core group to buy and ride a Shotgun Snowboard. Pretty quickly people started hearing about Shotgun Snowboards and the demand started to grow. If you’ve been lucky enough to ride a Shotgun Snowboard then you are in the know.
In August of 2009… Shotgun Snowboards expanded out to include apparel as well. Shotgun Boardwear Inc. was born. Shotgun is a full action sports apparel company catering to the Snowboard, Surf, Ski, Wakeboard and Skateboard industries. Our Shotgun apparel line consists of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel pieces with one unique added benefit… enter the First Ride Foundation. First Ride is a for-profit charity that recognizes that not all children can afford to ride. We help introduce children to these sports who may not have the means to do so. A portion of every Shotgun apparel piece goes to our First Ride efforts. Shotgun is the first action sports company to “give back” in such a way. We are not like other companies who donate money to causes… First Ride and giving back is actually part of our business plan.
