Although Shotgun can make directional, park only, back country, race etc. boards. We decided to just make high performance, quick responding, twin tip boards consistent with riding switch or standard. Our boards have aggressive radial sidecuts for quick responsive turning and ultimate high speed control. Our full wood-cores have amazing pop and flexibility for all snow conditions.

the materials
At Shotgun Snowboards we only use the best materials to make our boards. We take pride in handcrafting your board and we only want to put the best materials in your board… because we rider our boards too.
Here are the highlights:
- Base Material – We use Durasurf UHMW-PE sintered base material best known for it’s durability, speed, wax absorption/retention, impact resistance and consistency in extreme temperatures. Basically, it just doesn’t get any better then this!
- Fiberglass – We use a lightweight tri-axel fiberglass to maximize torsional strength and responsive flex memory in all our boards.
- Steel Edges – Full wrap hardened and tempered steel edge. They are break-proof and wear-resistant and are thus specifically suitable for exposure to high loads and flex stresses. They are also known for their excellent sliding behaviour.
- Wood Cores – We use a U.S. made vertically laminated 100% tip to tail wood core. Our full wood cores make our decks light, strong and long lasting memory. In addition, full wood core boards have excellent bonding properties that assure us of the strongest bond possible.
The Mission
Shotgun is dedicated to the snowboarding world. One Shotgun founder has been building and riding snowboards since 1987. Every snowboard is completely hand crafted right here in the U.S. using only the best materials. If you are one of the lucky ones who own one of our boards, then you obviously know something about snowboarding. But, for the 4 skeptics out there, we do offer an unconditional tip to tail 2 year warranty against any defects in manufacturing. However, don’t run it over with your truck or saw it in half to try to get a new board at the end of the season, we know that trick!!
Snowboard Construction
The first and most important thing you need to know about Shotgun Snowboards is that every board is HAND MADE right here in the USA. Each board is made to order and we only use the top quality materials for your board.
4 x 4 standard insert pattern
All our snowboards are manufactured using a vacuum sandwich construction. Although vacuum manufacturing is a slower process then machine pressed mass produced snowboards, vacuum manufacturing allows the best possible bonding process available.
Full wood core all the way to the side wall. Where other boards have a 4 (or more) piece sidewall/tip tail system, Shotgun has a continuous seamless full wood-core sidewall, giving our boards a unique look, performance and strength. Our continuous sidewall minimizes delamination and potential stress break points and maximizes overall ride performance. Don’t believe us? Ride one!! They’re fast as hell and carve like a hot knife through butter.
